"Bad Air Days" Down By 70 In Delhi Since 2016, Says Environment Minister

Prakash Javadekar said that to reduce vehicular pollution, a shift to BSVI vehicles will help. The number of "bad air days" in Delhi has reduced by 70 days since 2016, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said today even as Delhi pollution is on a steady rise. "We (BJP) came to power in 2014 and we started keeping this (bad air day) count from 2016. In 2016, Delhi used to have 250 bad air days and now it has reduced by 70 days to 180", the minister says.
