Delhi govt suspends officer over Sikkim gaffe

The advertisement was issued for enrolment of volunteers for civil defence corps where one of the eligibility criteria was that the person should be a "citizen of India or a subject of Sikkim or of Bhutan or of Nepal and a resident of Delhi". Over it, the chief secretary of Sikkim wrote a letter to the Delhi chief secretary stating that the advertisement is immensely hurtful to the people of Sikkim who take pride in being the citizens of our great country.
